Wow! thats looks like a seriously good game. Thanks for posting it. The artwork is great, really atmospheric. Several of my friends had similar (i think possibly modern updates)of this game, and I was always quietly envious!
Hi Peter, I think you can still get the more up dated version of this game still [I think its called Ghost Castle still]although the graphics are not as nice as the 70's game, they are still quite decent.
Hi Cyberschizoid, So pleased that you enjoyed the pics.
That is such a shame about your Haunted House game at school, you must of been so annoyed. You should try and get another one and re-live those times that you would of enjoyed playing the game.
We had this game in the 1970's and loved it. Did anyone else used to say "Uncle Arthur drops the whammy ball" as you put it down the stairs, or was that just us?
I got this for Christmas, was about 9 years old, used to play it by candlelight with my uncle and soon to be auntie. Fond creepy memories and lots of fun. Thanks for posting this :)
I was just describing this fab game we had in the 70s to my little girls and found your photos! Thanks so much - brought back ace memories. Just wish we still had the game! Emma
Pretty obvious by Paul's reply that he was the one who stole the game from Anonymous at school. And now he has the cheek to try and sell it back to him 40 years later. Unbelievable!
I loved this game when I was a kid. It was one of the few games that kept us all quiet. There was just something about it. The makers of the Harry Potter board game missed a trick when they went for the flat board game. They should have made a Hogwarts version of Haunted House. Anyway, it always reminds me of happy times, especially Christmas. The golden age of board games threw up some classics, pity someone doesn't release it again.

I've just found mine in my mum and dads loft so many memories playing this game. Can't wait to play it again

Mmmm! Its obvious that there is no mention of me trying to sell a game to anyone.
This was my favourite game as a child. I suddenly remembered it today and was then very happy to find your post and see it again :)
This and Mouse Trap were my favourites. I remember the Whammy board, and the creaky floorboard. Fun times.
Our version was identical to yours, but was called Which Witch.
Hi' just trying to find out about how many of each card there were....red / yellow/purple?
Hi
There are 8 Glenda the good cards,5 Wanda the Wicked and 19 Ghoulish Gertie cards.
All the best
