DENYS FISHER 'HAUNTED HOUSE' - Another version 1970's

As far as I am aware there have been several versions of this classic Haunted House game from Denys Fisher. At one point it was released as 'Which Witch?' with the same artwork you see on the previous post for the game. Then there is this version we have here, which I think as much better artwork, reminds me of the artwork on the 'Ghost Train' and 'Scream Inn' board games. During the 1980's the Haunted House game became known as 'Ghost Castle' and was re-vamped a little with different graphics on the board and box. The game was then re-released again with the same title but re-vamped again.

I just LOVE the graphics on this game.

There seems to be a great fusion of graphics and the imagination there. The designers really got everything out of the concept with a few bits of cardboard!

I totally agree about the graphics on this board game, such a shame that newer board games don't have this type of artwork.

I had this game in the 80s (it could have been the 70s version though, we had hand-me-downs from older cousins) it was fantastic! I'm all nostalgic now.

Hi Perdita, so pleased it has great nostalgic memories for you.

My mother has the "Which Witch" version, it's a very neat concept, kind of like a cardboard precursor to "Mousetrap" in the sense that certain spaces you land on activate traps.

The art work here is better then the version in the one before it, but I think It's just as intersting to see the older version because it looks so different from the one you featured in this post.

It seems fun! Me and ma cousins used to play a game called 'Monsieur Thomas'. You may be wondering how it's related to this. Well, the backgrounds we used to imagine were the same. Ah, it's like an illustration of our le`s petite game!

Hi,
Do you own the Deny's Fisher Haunted House 1975 version? If so, do you want to sell it?

Thanks

Oink

Hi Oink

I do own this version of the game, but sorry I would like to keep it until I come across another one. If I do I'll let you know. Unless you happen to come across one yourself sometime.
