'HORROR BAGS - Fiendish faces' game

Well here is another Smiths Horror Bags promotional item, never heard of this one before. I spotted this one on ebay and I really wanted it but it wasn't to be again. Still this is so nice to see, these Horror Bags promotional items just keep turning up.I wish I had a list of everything in the horror bag range.I think there were more goodies that you couls send for than the longer running Monster Munch.
For those familiar with items from Horror Bags will no doubt notice that the Fiendish faces game's box art is a blown up section from the Identi-kit game;I'm presuming that the Identi-kit came first. The Fiendish Faces game looks in great condition and the artwork is very nice and gruesome, ideal for making so many fiendish faces. It will be Interesting to see if any other new/old items from Horror Bags will turn up.I wouldn't if Smiths Crisps did any promotional catalogues to give to shops at the time, showing the range of horror bags as well as banners, posters, boxes, displays etc, would love to see something like that.

Always a treat to see a post on Cobwebbed Room.

That artwork is indeed fantastic, sorry you didn't win it! There's a book out at the moment called The Great British Tuck Shop (or something like that), flicking through it in a shop I saw a few Horror Bags things (but no merchandise, just crisp packets).

Excellent! Happy New Year to you sir!
In reference to the above-mentioned The Great British Tuck Shop book, I concur that it’s a wonderful book and I intend to have it very soon! Monster Munch received a mention and they also featured a picture of the Monster Munch badge… but I too highly recommend it!

I just knew there'd be further forgotten Horror Bags goodies on your blog Paul: even if I was just as sure they'd all been documented to date by The Cobwebbed Room - a strange feeling, that!

Another quality piece of kit for a small postal order and a few empty crisp packets.

Been away for too long - the musty whiff from decaying crumbs in old Horror Bags keeps luring me back tho!

Smiths Horror bags just kept on giving it seems. I am really loving these blasts down memory lane. Although I agree in that I had never heard of this one :)
